FAITH PARTNERS ALCOHOL AND DRUG TEAM MINISTY
United Methodists Respond to Alcohol and Other Drug Addictions

The United Methodist Special Program on Substance Abuse and Related Violence (SPSARV) at Global Ministries/The United Methodist Church is partnering with the Rush Center of the Johnson Institute to provide United Methodists and their partners with two special trainings – (1) the Core Competencies for Clergy and Other Pastoral Ministers in Addressing Alcohol and Drug Dependence and the Impact on Family Members, and (2) the Faith Partners Alcohol and Drug Team Ministry training, a congregational team ministry approach. The trainings will be offered in the U.S. within each of the five jurisdictions in 2007 and 2008.

The Core Competencies training is a two-day training. See the 2007 schedule below:
